Eden's Story
The birth of Eden
Eden started with a planner, but it was never really about stationery. It was about finding a kinder, more sustainable way to make progress on the things that actually matter.
My name is Sam. I’m a filmmaker who lives between Australia and the UK, and Eden grew out of my own struggle to hold everything together; my career, my relationships, my health, and all that damn life admin.
After multiple burnouts in my twenties, I realised I was tired of feeling busy all the time while major parts of my life were being neglected. Then, in the most delightfully predictable of clichés, a six-week, 800-kilometre hike across Spain with my dad helped me see life differently.
I began thinking of my life as a garden, with four main garden beds, all of whom need attention, care and time. This was the key to feeling like I was living life well – not just endlessly pruning my to-do list.
That idea became Eden: a collection of thoughtful tools to ensure your energy and time is spent carefully, in an effort to create a healthy and rich life garden. Alongside our paper planners, you’ll find digital finance tools, printable resources and flexible planning accessories with this aim in mind.
More than a to-do list
Eden helps you look at the bigger picture, whether you’re planning your year, getting your finances into shape, working towards a long-term project or simply trying to make your days feel a little more manageable.
There is no pressure for perfection here, and no expectation that every week will go to plan. Eden is made for the eternally imperfect reality of life – the hectic bits, the thoughtful bits, the unexpected bits, and the weeks where all you can do is begin again.
A personal note
I couldn't have made it this far without using my own Eden Planner every single day – she keeps me sane, keeps me on top of things, keeps my relationships healthy, and helps me take better care of myself.
Whether you’re a long-time Eden user or you’ve only just found us, thank you for being here and for trusting me with your most precious resource – your time.
If you've read this far, I really think it's time you two properly met. Head over here to get yourself your very own Eden. I hope Eden helps you feel a little clearer, a little more capable and a little less alone in the doing of it all. I hope she serves you well.
